The following is an unashamed list of ways to give yourself permission to simply be what you are called to be.. Happy! You could probably reflect on a different one each day and ask what you need to do or not do to keep that ‘commandment’
Ten ‘Commandments’ for Reducing Stress
I shall not be perfect or even try to be
I shall not endeavour to be all things to all people
I shall leave things undone that ought to be done
I shall not spread myself too thin
I shall learn to say “No”
I shall schedule time for myself and for my support network
I shall switch off and do nothing regularly
I shall feel free to be boring, untidy, inelegant and unattractive at times
I shall not even feel guilty
Most important of all I shall not be my own worst enemy
but you shall be my own best friend.
